Dr, Phielipp was born in the Argentine Patagonia. He studied medicine at the University of Buenos Aires, and did his residency in neurology at the French Hospital of Buenos Aires, affiliated with the same University. Dr. Phielipp completed a fellowship in Parkinson's disease and Movement Disorders at the Neurosciences Institute of Favaloro University. Dr. Phielipp went on to complete another fellowship in Parkinson's and Movement Disorders and Movement Electrophysiology at the University of Toronto. The University of California, Irvine, recruited Dr. Phielipp at the end of 2013, where he has worked since as an Associate Professor of Neurology, and the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder program. Dr. Phielipp sees patients in his clinic,, and he has an interest and researches on biomarkers in these diseases, including blood samples, genetics, and electrophysiology.
